The same pairs had also dominated the first leg, earlier this month in Arica.

Brazil's Vitoria gets blocked by Peru's Lisbeth Allcca in the women's final of the U21 Beach Volleyball World Championship continental qualifiers in Lima.

Thamela and Vitoria confirmed the gold by defeating Peru's Lisbeth Allcca / Medalyn Mendoza 2-0 (21-16, 21-14) in the final at Punta Negra beach, just south of Lima. The Brazilian duo completed the tournament winning all six of their matches without dropping a single set.

"We are very happy, we managed to play very well together, very loose," said Vitoria. "This is our first season together and we managed to overcome all the limitations. We have had a lot of tranquility and patience with each other. I am happy to have had that experience, being able to represent Brazil well. Thamela helps me stay calm and has strongly supported in blocking. I really have to thank her and our coach, Ariel Uchoa."

Argentina's Brenda Churin / Victoria Pozzo downed Paraguay's Giuliana Poletti / Laura Ovelar 2-0 (21-19, 21-14) for the women's bronze.

Brazil's Lazaro Lyan de Paulo tries to beat the block of Argentina's Mauro Zelayeta in the men's final of the U21 Beach Volleyball World Championship continental qualifiers in Lima.

In the men's final Argentina's Mauro Zelayeta / Bautista Amieva reaffirmed their dominance with a 2-0 (21-17, 21-18) win over Brazil's Matheus Filipe Santos / Lazaro Lyan de Paulo.

"We are full of pure joy after winning the first two stages of the qualifiers," said Zalayeta. "Our success is a reflection of how much we have been working together with my coach and my partner. Now we have to go to Paraguay and do the same thing that we did today. Brazil are a big power in volleyball and to beat them in a final is an enormous feat."

For the third place in the men's competition Joffre Jurado / Dany Leon of Ecuador shut out Paraguay's Alejandro Garay / Artaban Guitierrez 2-0 (21-15, 21-15).
